Faces behind the name

Event Lab is a boutique event planning and production agency based in Dubrovnik, Croatia, led by sisters Angela and Ksenija Matić.

We design and deliver strategic events, institutional projects, corporate programmes, and private experiences across Dubrovnik and the Adriatic, combining structured planning with a strong sense of place.

Our work is logistics-led and detail-driven, ensuring clarity, control, and seamless execution across all stages of production. Alongside precision, we place equal importance on atmosphere—shaping experiences that feel considered, coherent, and naturally connected to their environment.

From institutional gatherings and international incentive programmes to private celebrations and curated hospitality experiences, we operate with consistency, discretion, and attention to detail.

Rooted in Croatia, we collaborate with trusted partners across hospitality, culture, and gastronomy, ensuring each experience reflects both local identity and international standards.

Event Lab is a member of Stories Croatia, a curated network of hospitality professionals recognised for elevated service standards and authentic local expertise.

Angela and Ksenija are both RIT Croatia graduates with more than 20 years of experience in the MICE, PR & marketing and esteemed members of local and international community. Angela serves as Swedish Consul in Dubrovnik, while Ksenija is a Certified Sommelier (CMS) and WSET Level 3 professional with international wine judging experience.

MICE

We design and deliver corporate meetings, incentive programs, conferences, and business events across Dubrovnik and its surroundings, combining structured planning with a strong sense of place.

Our role extends beyond coordination. We support clients in shaping programs that are clear in purpose, well-organised in execution, and considerate of the experience of every participant. From concept development and venue sourcing to logistics, on-site management, and supplier coordination, each element is handled with precision and continuity.

Working with international companies and organisations, we understand the expectations of cross-border collaboration, timelines, and operational discipline. At the same time, we ensure that each programme benefits from the character of its destination—whether a coastal incentive journey, a leadership retreat, or a large-scale conference.

INSTITUTIONAL & PROTOCOL PROJECTS

We work with public institutions, international organisations, and cultural stakeholders on events that require clarity, discretion, and protocol awareness.

Our experience includes official visits, stakeholder gatherings, exhibitions, press events, and high-level protocol dinners. These projects often involve multiple partners, formal requirements, and structured coordination across different levels of engagement.

We create private celebrations, destination weddings, and intimate gatherings shaped by personal vision and the character of the location.

Each experience is developed individually, with attention to flow, setting, and atmosphere. From elopements and milestone celebrations to larger destination weddings, we coordinate all essential elements including venues, design, catering, entertainment, and logistics.

HOSPITALITY & EXPERIENCE DESIGN

Hospitality is not only part of our work—it shapes how we think.

Our approach is informed by a deep understanding of guest experience, timing, and atmosphere. Co-founder Ksenija, a certified sommelier (CMS) with advanced wine education (WSET Level 3), brings a refined sensitivity to dining, hosting, and sensory detail. This perspective influences how we design executive dinners, private gatherings, and curated experiences.

In selected projects, we collaborate with respected chefs and culinary professionals to further shape the gastronomic dimension of our work, ensuring authenticity and a strong sense of place.
